My December FLEW by so fast!!!!

I can't believe how fast this month is flying by.   I have a couple of art updates for today and maybe the last ones tomorrow.

Here is Owlexis finished for my baby granddaughter's room.   She loves to snow board so I attempted to put her on a snowboard! LOL!  Her favorite color is Turquoise, so I painted her a magic coat to keep her feathers warm in the snow.  I'm making 2 more  this spring to complete the set.  Owlmama and Owldada.  I've got to figure out how to create Owldada with a hardhat, standing by his favorite work truck.  Wish me luck!  In case you've forgotten, here is my finished Owlivia.

When I'm done they will look so cute on her nursery walls!

Here's a painting I did using the acrylic wash, saran wrap over it for texture, and then trying to pick out a picture in the texture after it was dry.  Believe it or not, I saw both trees and the outline of the girl in the texture and then just  fleshed them out!  I don't think I could do this again... but I'm going to try it after the holidays.

Here a small 4X4 that doesn't seem done to me yet.  I have it sitting on the fireplace mantle until I can figure out if it's done or not.

And this one has already changed a little bit since I took this picture.  I'll be finishing it after the holidays also.

Speaking of holidays,  I want to wish all my friends a wonderful and blessed Holiday.  I'm so excited to spend mine with my oldest son (Dave), his beautiful wife (Carissa), and their boys (Kody and Jorden).  We'll be seeing Lexi after Christmas as she's coming from Wyoming to spend New Years with her dad.  I can't believe that she will be 18 years old in 3 weeks.  I'll have pictures to share soon!

God Bless you all!!!!!!!!!

AEDM~ Day 12

I'm feeling much better.  We're have dreadful weather, however, and the lighting is terrible.  Out of six photos that I took, this one was the best.  I took one with a flash and it turned out worse.  Owlivia is trying to decide if she's done.  The bottom corner of her canvas seems a bit bare to her, but she's just not sure, so she won't let me do anymore until she ponders on it for awhile.  And suggestions or critiques are welcome!!

I started on the first layer of four small 8X8 canvases.  I think I'm going to do a series so I'm going to be building up layers and I'll share with you tomorrow.

HuGGs!
