What's Love Got To Do With It?

This month, for our blog circle, we're going to be talking about "love".  I'm sure you are going to get a lot of different viewpoints on that word if you follow along with the whole circle... and I really hope you will.

So what am I going to talk about??  Well, this month my art has taken a new turn and I'm loving every minute of it!!  I'm trying to get a little looser in my approach to my artwork.  What I share with you today may not be as loose as I want to eventually get... but I'm moving in that direction.  We've had a few wonderful, warm, sunny days this month and it's made me yearn for spring.  So, a lot of my work is spring-like in nature.  And, I'm embracing the folk art, whimsical side of me a bit more.  To add that added "LOVE" element,  I've found some quotes on love that I want to share with you!

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
Lao Tzu

She lovingly gives her passion, and her beauty only grows with the passing years.

Follow your heart; it knows things your mind cannot explain.

They asked me what I loved most about my life. I smiled, and said you.

Breathe it all in, love it all out.

If what you see by the eye doesn’t please you, then close your eyes, and see from the heart. Because the heart can see beauty and love more than the eyes can ever wonder.

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
Lao Tzu

“You know that place between sleep and awake? The place where you can still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always love you. That’s where I’ll be waiting.”
— Peter Pan

I hope you enjoyed seeing my artwork and reading some of these quotes on "love".  Now, you can hop on over to Chandra's blog and read what she has to share about love!

Love and HuGGs!

Hi Debi -
I was very struck by the texture in your trees. It's fab! Did you use molding paste for that? It's lovely. All the pieces are beautiful + bright.

I enjoyed your love quotes as well. :)

Yes, Debi! Fab post! Your artwork is so vibrant and passionate. I love the trees! You used one of my favorite love quotes ever from Lao Tzu. That quote really helped me in the beginning of my relationship with Chris. LOVE to you!

I love all the vibrant colors. I'm a color person too. And I like how you wove the quotes in with your art.
