Kim and I have been good friends for quite a few years now. I love her wonderful attitude on life. I also have several wonderful pieces of art that I've received through trades with her. I am inspired daily by her art each time I walk past one of my treasured trades with her. Click on the link in the title of this post to visit her delightful blog.
Today she has issued a challenge for herself on her blog about losing weight. Losing weight for her health, to rid herself of pain, and to feel good about the way she feels in her clothes. I NEED to do the same thing for all the same reasons. I've eaten healthy most of my life. I take good care of myself, although I don't exercise as much as I should. I have Arthritis in the facet joints of my lower back. I also have it in my wrist and hands. My doctor told me the same thing as hers... I need to walk to be more pain-free. I need to eat better because I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. So I'm taking the challenge with Kim. I'm going to report here every week on my progress. I'm posting this to keep myself accountable.

Hi Debi,
Let me start off thanking you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment about my Poetry Birds. The "Trees" poem is my favorite and now the Chicken one is too. :)
I am so happy that you are taking the challenge with your friend KIm.
Wish you lots of luck.
Your banner painting is lovely!
Debi- Thank you for your kind words on my blog! I am glad we have been friends for so long and really appreciate the support you are giving me on my challenge :)
Have a blessed day!!!

Hi Debi,
I can so relate to this. I too have been especially challenged in this area. Had foot surgery on both my feet due to pain, but it has become obvious that losing 25 lbs. would make a huge difference. Can I join you in your challenge?
hi deb, just happened over to your blog this am, i have been remiss in keeping mine up..but kudos to you for how great yours looks! your artwork you created for your home looks wonderful, just finished getting my junk room reorganized, can't wait to create something myself, or at least finish one project! have also been in the process of trying to relieve some of that "arthiritic pain" in the facets of my lower back also...my dr injected last week, but the cool and rainy days have not helped~~zanne
