Happy Mother's Day all you Mom's out there!

So, I minute ago my hubby comes in the room with this little boy look on his face and hiding something behind his back. And he says "I made something for you for Mother's Day... I made you a ROCK! It's a pretty rock and I'm sure it had loads of quartz crystals in it. He's always finding me cool stuff when he goes for a walk and smokes his cigars. Anyway, earlier in the day he came in and asked if he could borrow my Gel medium. Hummn Okay, so he takes a brush too. Now come to find out he wanted to polish the rock but picked up my MATTE medium! So, the pretty rock doesn't sparkle.... Oh well, it's the thought that counts. I'm sure he gave his mom lots of rocks when he was a boy. He's never been a big one for shopping. But he pretty much lets me get what I want when I need it, if we can afford it. Gotta love the guy!

AND my daughter did something REALLY funny! I WISH I had thought of it! When she was out running errands and getting ME a present (Don't know what it is yet) She got this funny notion. She started looking for the sappiest Mother's Day Card she could find. It said something about how EVERYONE around her was blest because she was so blessed and blessings abound and everyone is so lucky to have her in their lives! Then she goes up to Lexie (the teenager, and one who never remembers to get a card for anything) and she hands her the card and says "Here, write something nice in this card and give it back to me". So, Lexie is reading the card and falls on the floor laughing her little head off and tells her mom she's out of control. And Tammi tells her to DO IT! So that someday when she's away at college or off on her own Tammi can read it and pretend that Lexie got it for her! So, Lexie says, "okay mom, I got the point...". I wish I'd thought of that. I could have gotten a card that says " You are the most wonderful woman in the world and I'm SO lucky you are the mother of my children... All that pain you went through birthing them...." I could hand it to him and say, "Here, write something nice in this card and give it back to me!"~ Hee-hee

Hope everyone's day was WonderFul!
